The athlete / Behind the pursuit

JAKE DOBRY.

Utah-based competitive golfer. U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Pursuing professional tournament golf.

01 / THE ATHLETE

A competitive pursuit built on preparation, evidence, and the rounds that count.

I'm Jake Dobry, a competitive golfer based in Utah. After serving in the United States Marine Corps and building an established career outside golf, I'm preparing to pursue professional golf through real tournament competition.

The objective isn't to create a highlight reel that makes golf look easier than it is. It's to compete, measure the results, keep improving, and document the work behind that progress.

I'll document the training, coaching, equipment decisions, and tournament experiences behind the pursuit—and what it takes to balance all of it with a career and family life.

02 / THE APPROACH

How the work
gets done.

Competitive proof

Tournament starts, verified scores and real finishes will be published when confirmed. Practice is preparation; the scorecard is the test.

Measured development

Training includes full-swing and driver-speed development, distance-control work, and repeatable TrackMan assessments.

The human side

Golf doesn't happen in isolation. The process has to coexist with work, family, recovery, and the daily decisions that shape a serious athletic pursuit.

03 / WHAT'S NEXT

2027: The next chapter.

I'm building a competitive tournament schedule with the goal of making my first professional starts in 2027. Event dates, entries and results will be posted once officially confirmed. Until then, the focus is training and earning the next opportunity.
